The United Way of Alexander County hosted the Annual 2002/2003 Campaign Kickoff Luncheon on Thursday, August 1, 2002. The well attended event was held in the cafeteria of Alexander Central High School.

The Alexander County United Way helps with funding for local agencies that provide invaluable services that touch the lives of most every Alexander County resident - whether directly or indirectly.

A spokesperson for each United Way agency described the services their agency provides for our county and the importance of the United Way's funding.

Gail Drum, Director of the Alexander County United Way expressed her deepest gratitude for the continued support of the business community, individuals and others that keep our local United Way strong.
