October
20, 2001 Without a doubt, the 2001 Taylorsville Apple Festival was a tremendous success! There are estimates of around 10,000 people in attendance of the event! Congratulations and thanks to the Taylorsville Hometown Development Council for all of their hard work in putting together such a wonderful community event. The festivities began with a Patriotic Balloon release, singing of the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance and prayer. The Courthouse Square was the stage for entertainment of all kinds throughout the day...singing, dancing and more! Food & craft vendors lined the street along with booths promoting our community organizations. I believe everyone in attendance enjoyed a stress-free, fun and relaxing day...with perhaps the only problems, if any, being tired feet and too much food! |
